In our house, 90% of our breads are homemade. I am thankful that my mom bought me a bread machine, though I rarely use the machine itself to bake the bread, it is amazing and mixing the dough and rising.
I use this recipe in my bread machine and roll out the dough.
Place ingredients in order in the bread machine and hit the dough cycle
(You could easily make this in a stand mixer, just dissolve the yeast into warm milk for about five to ten minutes)
1 1/4 cups warm milk
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons butter, softened
1/4 cup honey
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 3/4 cups bread flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/4 teaspoons bread machine yeast
Once the dough has doubled in size, roll it out and cut it with biscuit cutters ( or a jar lid)
Set them on a pan and let them double in size
Then bake at 350 for 10-15 minutes
They make perfect hamburger buns, hot dog buns, sandwich rolls, and tonight they were the buns for our BBQ pork
